JEREMY FOUNDED PALAEMUS IN 2021 IN ORDER TO MEET A NATIONAL SECURITY NEED FOR TRANSITIONING APPLIED RESEARCH FROM THE LAB TO THE FIELD. HIS CAREER HAS SPANNED ENGINEERING ROLES FROM EARLY STAGE R&D, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, AND CUSTOM OPTOMECHANICAL SOLUTIONS FOR DEFENSE, TO GLOBAL PRODUCTION OF COMMERCIAL SENSING PRODUCTS.
HE HAS WORKED ON A NUMBER OF SBIR CONTRACTS AS A DESIGN ENGINEER FOR DEFENSE CUSTOMERS IN THE ARMY, NAVY, AND SOCOM. PRIOR TO FOUNDING PALAEMUS, JEREMY LED AN ENGINEERING TEAM AT A FORTUNE 500 COMPANY FOCUSED ON CUSTOM SOLUTIONS IN THE POWER QUALITY INDUSTRY SUPPORTING DATA CENTER INFRASTRUCTURE.
JEREMY GRADUATED FROM NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY WITH A BACHELOR’S OF SCIENCE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. HE ENTERED THE MARITIME INDUSTRY AT A SMALL AND RAPIDLY GROWING DEFENSE CONTRACTOR WHERE HE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK ON A NUMBER OF MISSION CRITICAL PROJECTS EARLY IN HIS CAREER, EVENTUALLY TAKING ON THE ROLE OF PRINCIPAL ENGINEER. A NORTH CAROLINA NATIVE FROM WINSTON-SALEM, HE LIVES IN THE RALEIGH AREA WITH HIS WIFE, TWO KIDS, AND TWO DOGS AND GETS TO THE COAST AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE. HE IS AN AVID FAN OF THE N.C. STATE WOLFPACK AND CAROLINA HURRICANES, AND AN EX-MOTOCROSS RACER WHO NOW STICKS TO THE TRAILS. JEREMY GREW UP ON THE WATER AND ENJOYS WATERSKIING, FISHING, AND EXPLORING THE CAROLINA COAST.
